black on white

I don't really need any more tshirts, per se, but that doesn't stop me from wanting all of these. I live for the perfect white tshirt. It matches literally everything. And something about the graphic pop of black on white in each of these makes them that.much.better. Which is your favorite?

sweet summer blooms

It looks like summer has officially arrived in the South. My favorite trees are in bloom. Oh how I love those magnolias.

sneaky shadows

Bloggers are so cool. The creativity is overwhelming! Seriously.

Color Me Katie created the Shadow Project to answer the question "what do our shadows do behind our backs?" She cut shadows out of black butcher paper and pasted them up around Brooklyn. Then she waited until passerbys lined up with the "shadows" and snapped their pictures. The results are hilarious.

P.S. Check out this Alabama girl who is selling all of her posessions to the highest bidder. Kinda rocks.

love and happiness

In spite of this rainy, gray Monday, this is how I am feeling today.

lottie + doof

Good grief this cheesy mac with bread crumbs looks fantastic. Find the recipe for it and other drool-inducing goodies like Apricot, Sage and Cornmeal cookies at Lottie + Doof. You won't regret it.

oh lovely weekend

Happy May Day! I LOVE May. The weather gets nice. New sandals get worn in. The love of my life turns another year older. Bliss I tell you, pure bliss.

This weekend I plan to celebrate the onset of summer in style. Tonight, a wedding shower tonight (hello margaritas!). Tomorrow, some helmet purchasing, bike riding, picnicing and movie watching with friendolas (for starters: Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, in order to fuel my growing Savannah obsession.) Sunday, family time.

Hope your weekend plans are just as lovely. Have a great one!

the last days of spring

Is today really the last day of April? So long birthday month, hello summer. Today I am longing for the weekend. Four days down, one to go.

Splendor in the grass via lifeinlomo. She has some seriously beautiful images-a new fave.

hors de prix

Have you seen this movie? You should. I would do anything to look like a sophisticated, sexy French woman. Audrey Tatou is perfect in this role. Her wardrobe is a dream. And the plot is cheeky and sweet. Lovely and Priceless.

I could live in this hotel. With the sights and the soundtrack and the tans and the french rolling off the tongue, the movie paints such a romantic picture of the South of France, with just a little bit of quirkiness thrown in.

Oh this hair and makeup. I am stealing this look, seriously. I would also love to raid her wardrobe. All her clothes fit her skinny little frame like a dream. Maybe there is something to that whole French Women phenomenon. At any rate, rent this one ASAP.

a very important date

My birthday is on Monday, so in order to properly honor it, we are celebrating tomorrow with an Alice In Wonderland/Mad Hatter Tea Party themed party. (Yes, I am 12. No, not really.) We are setting up and baking tonight and I cannot wait for tomorrow. Should be a blast! I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend. I will post pics next week!

A very merry unbirthday to you!

oh happy day!

Happy birthday to the most beautiful, loving, kind, caring, intelligent, level-headed, sweet, wonderful woman I know-my mom! My mama is one of a kind. Tip of the top. Cream of the crop. And my hero. Good news for me is, people say I am her mini-me. I can't wait to celebrate with a margarita tonight. Love that little lady.

Cheers mom.

georgia on my mind

Has anyone ever been to Savannah, GA? We are thinking about heading to the deep south for C's birthday in May. I have this thing for Southern charm and a good Southern drawl and quaint little towns. And sweet tea and comfort food aren't too shabby either. Seems like Savannah would be idyllic. What do you lovelies think?

absense makes the heart grown fungus

Oh my lovelies, how sorry I am! I know I have been absent from this little blog for far too long. Did you miss me? I certainly missed you. I promise I have lot of sweet little nuggets for you, including my pics from NYC, an Alice themed birthday party for grownups, ginger love and more. Let's pinky swear to visit each other more often. Now hug it out. There. That does it. See you tomorrow with some goodies. I PROMISE.

i will take one of each, please

Seriously, love. My birthday is coming up at the end of the month and I would gladly open one of each of the following:

Steven Alan Slit Pocket Short, $165. Lengthy, high-waisted, tan seersucker goodness. I saw these in a small S.A. boutique in Bklyn, and it was love at first sight.

Shiny strawberry blonde hair, as seen on the cover of the current N.E.E.T. Mag. This one will probably have to be self-subsidized.

This lovely anemones print from etsy seller Kari Herer. Or any of her Paris market prints would do.

Banana Republic Glam Bib Necklace, $69. This would match everything I want to wear for spring and summer. Seriously, everything.

These Christian Siriano for Payless shoes (top left and bottom right), $25-$45. Ok, so they won't be released until Sept, but maybe an IOU?

Also, I wouldn't mind a beach cruiser bicycle, a classy helmet, a green rainfall showerhead, a white down comforter and a giftcard to Starbucks. Just a few hints for anyone who may need one.

the jewels of ny

Joanna blogged today about the beautiful bedroom (above) of Diana from jewels of ny, just in time to coordinate with my obsession of all things NYC (only further elevated due to my recent vaca there). D*S posted more pics of Diana's apartment, as well as some of the apartment of her business partner, Lisel. I adore all of the soft colors, the vintage touches and the clean, almost empty space. Oh to be a hip New Yorker.

P.S. Pics from my NYC vaca to come tomorrow or this weekend. Have a happy Thursday!

and you only get one
